Privacy Policy
Short version: we collect only what we need to make your piece, ship it, and answer your questions. We store it securely and we never sell it.

Who is behind this site
The Glove Designs LLC is a one-maker shop in Baltimore, Ohio. We build handmade leather goods, woodwork, and upcycled liquor-bottle pieces — tiki torches, lamps, and the empty bottles themselves — and we sell them from this website.
This policy covers what we do with information on theglovesdesigns.com. It does not cover other websites we link to.
Questions about privacy go to theglovesdesigns@gmail.com, or to 220 N Yencer St., Baltimore, OH 43105.
What we collect
When you place an order: your name, shipping address, email, phone number, the items and options you chose, and your order history. Payment is handled by Stripe — we see the order and the last digits of a card, but never your full card number.
When you send a contact or inquiry form: whatever you type into it. Usually a name, phone number, email, your city and state, and the details of the project you have in mind, plus any photos you attach.
When you browse the site: basic visit information — which pages you looked at, roughly where you are in the world, and what kind of device and browser you used. See Analytics below.
We do not ask for, and do not want, anything sensitive like your Social Security number or a government ID. Please don't send it.
What we do with it
We use your information to run the shop:
- Take your order, build or pack the piece, and get it to you.
- Send receipts, order updates, assembly guides, and answer your questions.
- Quote and design custom work you asked about.
- Keep the site working and see which pages people actually read.
- Keep records for accounting and sales tax the way Ohio requires.
- Spot and stop fraud or abuse of the store.
We do not build advertising profiles about you, and we do not send marketing mail we didn't earn. Email you receive from us is about your order or your request.
Analytics: Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics
We use two tools to understand how the site is used. Both are privacy-minded, and neither is used to target ads at you.
- Google Analytics (GA4) — counts page views and shows us which pages and products people spend time on. It sets cookies and similar identifiers in your browser to do this.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — measures traffic and page speed. It is designed to work without cross-site tracking cookies and does not build an advertising profile of you.
We do not run ad pixels, retargeting scripts, or email-tracking beacons for marketing.
If you would rather not be counted, you can turn off or clear cookies in your browser, use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or browse with a tracking-prevention mode enabled. Some parts of the store may look a little plainer, but you can still order.
How it is stored and protected
Order and inquiry information lives in a private database that sits behind our backend and is reachable only by signed-in staff. The site is served over HTTPS, which encrypts information between your browser and our server, and the admin area where orders and products are managed requires a login.
Card numbers are never stored on our side — Stripe holds them. We keep staff access limited to the people who actually need it to fulfill an order.
No system is perfectly secure. If you ever think your information with us has been exposed, email us and we'll look into it right away.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, which for us is several years. Inquiry and request-form entries are kept until the question is answered, then cleaned up. Analytics data is kept by Google and Cloudflare on their own schedules and is not tied to your name by us.
Your choices
Email theglovesdesigns@gmail.com and we will, on request:
- Tell you what we have about you.
- Fix anything that is wrong.
- Delete it, except order records we are required to keep for taxes.
You can also stop email from us by asking; we only send order and request messages in the first place, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from beyond that. We do not discriminate against anyone who exercises these choices. Because we never sell personal information, there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
Kids
This shop is not aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If a younger person's information reached us, email us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of the page and keep the prior wording available on request. Continued use of the site after a change means the new version applies.
